ABOUT

Dylan Carmody is a freelance content producer and author.

He grew up in Dandenong North, in Victoria, Australia, and has always had a passion for writing and sport. He attended Mazenod College in Mulgrave, before earning a degree in a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) at RMIT University.

He is a published author, with his stories on the Amazon Kindle website. Currently, Dylan in the process of writing a novel, as well as a variety of other short stories which he hopes to release soon.

His main goal is to work within the sports media industry, with and around football clubs and cricket teams. Whether it be writing, on radio or on television, Dylan loves everything about the media and wants to pursue it as a career.

Dylan currently works as a Marketing Coordinator at WorkPro, a workforce compliance company based in Melbourne.

It is here that he produces video and audio content for the website, as well writing copy and articles for the company blog. He is in charge of their social media channels, and has formulated a library for their digital content, as well as various digital strategies.

Dylan has worked as a freelance content producer and writer, where he wrote AFL for Sporting News Australia. He has also written for various organisations and media outlets, including Fox Sports Australia, The Roar, City Journal and Cricket Australia, and has hosted radio programs such as Get Cereal, The Sports Desk and The Trade Table through SYN 90.7FM, the latter show which he co-created and produced.

Dylan interned at 7 News Melbourne, RSN 927 and Cricket Australia in 2018, which included winning the Steve Cairns Scholarship to intern with RSN.

Dylan has also been able to acquire a showreel through his internship with 7 News Melbourne, as well as with RMIT via assignments. He has also been able to upload podcast episodes from The Trade Table.

Dylan is an avid sports fan, where he is a mad supporter of the Melbourne FC in the AFL. He also loves his cricket, where he does not bowl and bats at nine in the 4th XI, but he can mix a mean cordial, so he holds his place.
